Gives the Complete Beginner the motor skills and knowledge to join the guitar one group or take individual lessons. Students may join at any time as they will have one individualized lesson first to set them up for joining the class.
Class will learn the chords in Five keys and strumming patterns to accommodate many songs.
They will also learn Five major scales by reading tablature, the language of guitarists, and some simple melody lines.
Guitar One Meets on Monday and Thursdays. Must complete Intro to Guitar program or get enough individualized lessons to have motor skills developed. Five month semesters begin in August and January. Use the skills learned in Intro to Guitar to play simple folk songs. Graduate to Guitar Two program.
As student performances are a part of this program, there will not be any classes on the 5th weeks. Tuition is just $40/month! Enrollment fee of $25 gets each student a book. Joe Dingman is our teacher for Thursdays while Tony Perez is the instructor on Mondays. Both are also private instructors for many instruments!
